What cool props do you use to demonstrate abstract concepts??

The Memory Mavern has been known to pull out a rubber chicken in her memory talks to make a point about ‘be careful of what you are remembered for”

After being introduced to Mind Maps about 5 years ago by a lecturer at the University I was working at, I started thinking about them and how we could use them with our students. The reception from other academics was low and not something they wanted to think about, nor work into their programme at that time. It stayed in the back of my mind though.

While on a student recruitment visit in Malaysia, I was in a book store (it's an addiction!) and saw "The Ultimate Mind Mapping Book" and my passion grew from there.

BLI, India

Hello all- I found this site quite by mistake and very impressed with the level of exchange- and with the kind of mindmaps on this site.

I am a BLI from Singapore (who recently moved to India). I work with a IT Major - and spend a LOT of time (more than what I need to) in flights - going around India.

I just moved back here after 12 years in Singapore- so I am enjoying it all (at present)- and soaking in all things Indian- which I missed all these years.

It is great to be back. Something needs to be done for the traffic though :)

I was privileged to join a group of future BLI Educators It was a memorable day in many ways as whilst we sat in the tranquility of the conference room one the biggest storms ever hit Melbourne and there was Chaos and havoc going on unknown to us. However that is different story. The Conference was chaired by Bill and Jennifer and as I grew to know the participants a thought came to mind - We all shared a common pursuit to excel and develop our skills and future. We have been taught since birth various subjects but never how to learn.
