Ever wondered what it is like to compete in a test of remember names and faces?

I thought I would share the Memorisation, Recall and marking sheets (see below) for the recent Indian Memory Championships so you can see what it contains as well as for people practicing and getting ready for next month's World memory Championships in Guangzhou.

A study in the journal Neurology has found that older people with lower levels of vitamin B12 are more likely to loose brain cells, develop cognitive issues and even experience a shrinkage of brain volume.

In addition to keeping the gray matter sparkling, B12 is vital to red blood cell formation and the production of energy

Power Browse
Time:  10 minutes
Materials:  bookmarks, timer, book!
Take your book, turn and look at each page briefly.
How is the book put together?
Are there summaries, graphs, key points?
What are the divisions, chapters?
Is there an index? What information does it give?
What parts jump out?
What looks interesting?
Insert your bookmarks/strips wherever you may want to explore later
Gauge your time. Keep to the 10 minute limit. Finish the whole book

We all do - numbers are often meaningless and hard to make links that will help us remember them.

There are two systems most commonly used

Creative Genius at Its Ultimate Best

Valentino and Giammetti I have never been a follower of fashioner, as the old Donovan song said, but I just watched a 2008 special on Valentino, The Last Emperor and for anyone in the fashion world a true icon.  I thought I knew what creativity was, but I have been wrong for a lot of years - this was genius.
