A frequently asked question at my Study Skills and Memory Training Workshops is "What is the key to remembering for effective learning?"

My initial response would be to provide a succinct list of key 'memory essentials' rather than name 'the key' one.  The reason for my reluctance in naming any one step or strategy or memory technique is not that I don't have a preference, it's rather that I don't want the baby thrown out with the bath...
